I Remember Star Trek

I remember watching Star Trek with my dad late Saturday nights after SNL or Saturday Night Main Event.
I remember the graphics being a little worse than these awesome updated versions on Netflix.
I remember that bald freaky alien at the end of the credits scaring the crap out of me.
I remember being confused by all of the episodes that resembled earth.
I remember the awesome fight scenes.

Wrestling Mayhem Show 149: Barely Online in '09

Plagued by ongoing internet issues, the crew limps into 2009 with show 149. The crew has discussions about Shawn Michaels' bad day, who you would pay to get an autograph from, Mayhemmy fall out, and all the fan mail you can handle. Not to mention a surly voice mail from an old show guest.

WPAJ Interview: Hip Hop Buffet Cont...

“It’s like Hip Hop Church…”

The next Hip Hop Buffet Series show is this Sunday, and to get you geared up, we’re putting out the rest of the interviews from last month’s shows.

First off, we had a sit down with the ringleader of the whole thing, DaButtonPusha, to talk about what the series has been doing, and what has changed since the last time we talked…

Then, we talk to the roster from that show, including SAINT, Play Bizzle, The Borough, RiJess, NBH Entertainment, and DJ Supaman representing Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Maryland!  

 

2008: A Sorg in Review

I thought it was a good time to look back at all we did this past year.

• Visited New York City for the first time. Twice! Had a great time with the Mayhem Crew heading up to Madison Square Garden for the Royal Rumble, saw Times Square, a scene from Cloverfield, and was introduced to the fish bowl. The second time, I got to see rats in the subway, Ground Zero, the former WWE New York (Now Hard Rock Cafe), the Superhero Fashion exhibit at The Met, Ring of Honor at the Hammerstein, and more fishbowls...
• Successfully performed in either CRAP or Really Pale Gangsters at least once a month from February through November. Best run of shows yet!
  
• Sorgstock happened again (but was canceled for the second edition) bringing in a real wrestling ring for the first time. We can't go back to the backyard stuff after that one...
• The Wrestling Mayhem Show saw the inclusion of Mayhem Missie, more in studio guests, and talks with guys from XPW, NWA Champions, future TNA X Division Champs, American Gladiators, and some of Pittsburgh's social media!
  
• I've had a chance to talk with Kottonmouth Kings about politics, Dirtball about his poli-sci degree, Jerhed from hed pe about how fucked up the world is, Chucky Chuck about his new kids, one of my favorite Podcast's hosts (The Awful Show), And some of the best talent in the city of Pittsburgh...
  
• Had a great mini-road trip to Newville for some IWC.
  
• For better or worse, Deface invaded the Con on the Cob out in Akron, OH.
  
• I got to see my nephew woop ass.
• Saw some giant puppets.
• I "ran for president" against a man-simian, with a "wrestler" as my running mate...
• Another Podcamp Pittsburgh came and went, and Mayhem was everywhere...Stoke Monkey RickRolled...and Missfit destroyed on the food front...
• My freelance has expanded greatly.
• Another successful Juggalo Day went down.
• Seeds were planted for several new ventures for 2009.

The Mayhemmys ran a little long this week, but we definitely wanted to get some time in with Miss Ashley Hoover about her first experience with a live RAW in Massachusetts this past Monday. We eventually are joined by Mad Mike (of the famed Level 5 Podcast) to get his acceptance speech for his Mayhemmy Awards.

I Remember New Year's

I remember working at the Country Club for 2000.
I remember an old New Years' when I was in a fight.
I remember the giant bottle of champagne the boss and one waitress had.
I remember the New Year's at the in laws', and the only time I remember them using that bar...
I remember trying to go up another time and sleeping through the New Year.
I remember New Years' at DC's and all of the people in that house.
I remember Jeff singing some "Girls Want to Have Fun".
Now, I remember a good time with some good friends to kick off 2009...
