I Remember Knight Rider

Feel free to add your own to this thread in the comments, or come up with your own "I Remember" articles. just let me know!

I remember when David Hasselhoff wasn't a German music sensation.
I remember when K.I.T.T's biggest enemy was K.A.R.R.
I remember the show not having girls this hot.
I remember that semi truck that seems a lot bigger on the inside.
I remember K.I.T.T as a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
I remember K.I.T.T. only "transforming" to a super speed mode late in the series. Not entirely other vehicles!

I also remember the new Knight Rider being WAY better than he new Bionic Woman.

Sorgatron '08: The real Stoke Monkey

From Sorgatron08.com:

There was a simpler time. A time where the Stoke Monkey was a friend of the Mayhem Show. A friend of Sorgatron. And a friend of good.

It was simple enough. The Stoke Monkey was brought on to help with my music endeavors to rile up the fans from stage. Then he joined us on the Wrestling Mayhem Show. Things were alright for a bit.

I should have seen the signs. At Sorgstock, he was a little crazy, assaulting Girdy from the No Clue Crew all night long. Then there was New Jersey. He came back with a new, political, attitude. But the soul peering was continuing.

But who is the REAL Stoke Monkey? He is a simian man of weird perversions. He is a lieing politician in the monkey head's body. He makes ridiculous claims he could never back up. While he distracts you with campaign videos about how much he isn't DJLunchbox, he's spreading more lies and delving into the scary world of New Media.

And while Stoke Monkey assaults and attacks my person, he makes sure to sidestep me to call out Stephen Colbert!

But finally, I've had enough. I've had a bit of footage that I've been sitting on ever since the 4th of July. The most patriotic of holidays! And how does the Stoke Monkey celebrate his patriotism and freedoms?

Don't vote for a Coke Monkey. Vote Sorgatron '08.

Sorgatron '08: Obama was so close

From Sorgatron08.com...

This evening, when I was traversing the Southside in MY CITY, the city of Pittsburgh, I was stopped by a cop. A rather portly fellow on a motorcycle on Carson St. I was confused as to why I was stopped. I was late for my meeting. A meeting to decide the future of New Media outreach for our city. Deciding what was the next step.

But there I was. Waiting. I notice three rabid members with some sort of patriotic shirts and signs, not making it out. Finally, after a five minute, there he was. The Obama-Man. Rocking the convoy.

I expected more....

Three fans on a southside street corner? No Tanks? C'mon Obama....

Your talking to the guy that commanded tens of people at Podcamps, rap shows, and more.

But he's not as sad as that Stoke Monkey...

friday5: Post-Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 Edition

Once again, Miss Papuga has done a Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 version of the Friday5 over at the newly established OMGPittsburgh site.

1. What was one thing you learned at PCPGH3 that you didn’t expect to learn before the conference?

SEO. I didn't expect to delve into it as much as I did. Hadn't it been for a chance meeting with Mike Munz at the Meet N Greet, I might not have.

2. Podcamps are notorious for inspiring creativity and generating ideas. Did a potential project spring up for you as a result of PCPGH3?

I had an idea that may be outside my technical expertise, but also determined to start the PCPGH3 Cast to post sessions, and hopefully, new content from Pittsburgh New Media to literally keep the discussion open. Aside from that, just general overhauls on all of my current projects.

3. Who is one person you met (out of the many, surely) that has moved into your Reader/RSS feed, and why?

Mr. Munz and ShoutYoungstown. The latter is teaching me that Youngstown is not as scary my childhood news watching led me to believe..

4. What didn’t you get out of PCPGH3 that you wish you would have? (Session, info, topic, etc.)

I actually didn't go in with expectations (read: I didn't look at the schedule too much in advance) But felt I learned topics that I didn't originally intend on. It felt light on monetization, but maybe I just attended the wrong sessions.

5. What social media goals have you set for yourself to achieve before PCPGH4?

Just to have more developed of a plan for my projects than the "seat of our pants" style we've been doing for the last two years.

WTF Was I Thinking Video: Simpler Stoke Monkey

I remember the good old days. When the Stoke Monkey was just fun. When he wasn't the political monster that he's become.

  • Maybe this is why Stoke Monkey turned on me in politics...
  • That was a small studio...

Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 Day 2

Podcamp Pittsburgh's second day continued. While I was up pretty late once again, left with Woychek, Papuga, and Missy at the Red Star about 11:30, we arrived plenty early to setup food again and make the morning's introduction.

It was nice to see Justin join us early this year, and did a sort of experiment on this morning. Instead of just talking to the audience, he opened the main room to questions in general. It basically turned the whole thing into a QA session to kick things off for the day.

The regular sessions started off with a Podfading panel involving Johnny Goldstein, Will and I from Wrestling Mayhem Show, The G Spod, and once again led by Justin. Next, I set up a camera to capture Missy and Dawn's Social Networking/Media 101 class and went to put a note on the broken pop machine when I was volunteered to fill in the Virtual Worlds session. Thankfully, Dave Fisher was thrown in there with me, and he knew way more about Second Life than I did, so I ended up in a session I never would have on my own, and have a whole new perspective on the subject.

Post lunch, I was a little more low key. I found my self wandering amongst several random conversations in the longest (but not bad) hour of the weekend, while Missy and Dawn did their 201 course. I sat in on the Rust Belt Bloggers roundtable to see what it was about. Silent Ninja, however, slipped into "stealth mode" (ask Norm about that one). The last hour, I went back to wandering, and peaking my head into Justin's Twitter for Business course, and conversations.

This had to be the most productive Podcamp Pittsburgh I've been to yet. It felt like last year was a lot of hanging out, and less time in sessions. Whether it was mind frame, or lineup of said courses, I don't know, but there are plenty of things I'm going to be applying based on this weekend.

I'm looking forward to a couple of spin off events from this. First is Mike Munz's Links & Drinks just up the road from me at Jose & Tony's. Then the planned Neighborhood Walk blogs via Rustbelt Bloggers, and the newly initiated Podcamp Pittsburgh meetups.

As I've linked before, I've established a Podcamp Pittsburgh Podcast, where I've posted almost all of the sessions I had in audio form from the weekend for others to learn from. I hope to work with everyone to put some interviews and roundtables up in this space to help the community. We'll see where it goes.

We invoke violence amongst the tech…

This was a video I had put up last Wednesday in anticipation for Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 that explains our...impact...on the Pittsburgh New Media scene. Enjoy...

Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 Day 1

Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 has come and gone, and I find head swimming in all of the new information I received this weekend.

Saturday found the Sorgs coming early, since Missy volunteered to handle much of the food wrangling for the weekend. The opening talk in the main room saw a LOT of new faces, that further amazed me from the night before. We heard from Justin, Chris, and Norm.

During the course of the day, I attended at least sessions that really stretched my thinking of how to approach the things I've been doing. Mike Munz, who I had a great conversation with the previous evening at the meet n' greet, did a fantastic session on "Making Social Media Visible", in which a lot of SEO (search engine optimization) and tricks came into play. I also attended our friends John and DJ G from the G Spod talking about podsafe music. I had taking a small amount of time looking at this subject before, but didn't like how some sites I found were laid out to work with. But this ioda that they use is fantastic for both my podcasts and music projects. Finally, I attended a session with Walt Ribeiro, who does "Your Weekly Music Lesson" on Revision 3. Walt has a LOT of energy, and I didn't see him skip a beat all weekend. The session talked about how he quit his job and made a go at making his show work and go into business for himself, and building that community, getting advertisers. Some may have been put off by his top speed presentation, but I thought it was fantastic. This was the guy who expressed his love for the medium the most, and dropped the best quotes of any session. Terms such as social media being "word of mouth on steroids" and "SEO the shit" out of your project.

I plan to release most of the sessions, especially those described above, on the newly established Podcamp Pittsburgh Podcast stream.

I also had the pleasure to partake in a couple of panels this day, including "Success!" sharing with Chris Brogan, Rachel, the G Spod, Should I Drink That, and moderated by Justin. It was a good time talking about the keys to why people still pay attention to us. (look for video soon). Of course, we also came back to do our "Grassroots Podcasting" session where we talk about where we came from as a show along with our Should I Drink That friends, lots of Wooo's, chops, and even a Rickroll by the Stoke Monkey! (of course there'll be video of that)

The evening brought us to Red Star, right next to Bar Louie (site of Bootcamp PGH post shenanigans) I had some good talks with Brogan about comic movies, Jen about Juggalos and wrestling, various wrestling talks, actually, and the fantastic 649 returned! This year yielding a mix of Bacardi, Segrams, and Yukon Jack. Tasty. And we came in at almost 20 served up. It was beutiful.

Well that's enough brain leakage for now. Just type "PCPGH3" into Youtube, twitter, google, flickr, technarati, etc to find a LOT of coverage from this past weekend! I'll be back with Day 2 tomorrow.

Black Sheep Puppet Festival: Media

As I mentioned a couple of days ago, Veronica, Will, and myself were at the Black Sheep Puppet Festival for their 24 hour event. Tonight, I just released the videos from the time we spent there, speaking with Dave English, who participated in one of the teams, and Mike Cuccaro, the organizer of the event. Will did a great job, as usual, in the interviewer position. Hope you enjoy...

Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 Meet N Greet.

The Podcampers decended down on Alpahlabs this evening for some meet n greet. I was amazed at just how many unfamiliar faces were in attendance. I knew there were supposed to be a lot of new signups, but this was amazing. So I ventured over, and and had some Erie Brewinng specialties presented by who I learned was an SIDT Fan of the Show. I sat down with the Silent Ninja

and had some interesting grub, including my first experience with hummus. I talked with Mike Munz, who is involved with Dev house, a fellow who's name escapes me, who is in the same Game & Art program as Silent Ninja at the Art Institute, discussed his feelings on whether AIP was "worth it". I talked for a good bit with Karl Schieneman, who we interviewed last year at Podcamp, and his wife, about wrestling, some connections, and so on. I wondered over to the bar/food area and hung with some old podcamp friends, and some chopping ensued.

Justin and Woy talked for a bit and told us about AlphaLab and a couple of companies at work in there, uncluding GameHuddle, an "e-harmony for game matchups" and Chogger, a sort of ready made web comic site. Both really interesting projects.

Norm also gave me a sneek peak at the PCPGH3 swag before I helped carry it to his truck. The party split with the SIDT guys meeting up with someone at Jeckyl & Hyde, and a good number of the Podcamp alumni went to the Double Wide Grill. It was a good time of music, Canadian anthems, and Cider.

Here's to the kick off. Let's Podcamp the shit out of this weekend!

Friday5: The people that surround you

  1. Who frightens you?
    Chuck Norris....respect the Norris...
  2. Who regularly surprises you?
My brother. He's always been a silent fellow, but more and more, he's spoken volumes with very little.
  3. Who calms you down?
A couple friends who keep me sane via IM at work. You know who you are...
  4. Who inspires you?
My dad. He's been through a lot and got drafted, but luckily avoided active war duty.
  5. Who admires you perhaps more than he or she should?
Eh, anyone who thinks I know what I'm doing, I guess...

Black Sheep Puppet Festival

This evening, DJ Lunchbox, V-Ron, and Sorgatron dropped by The Brew House for the Black Sheep Puppet Festival for the beginnings of their 24 hour event, part of a 3 week festival. We were shown a lot of the place by Mike Cuccaro, the organizer for the events. It was really cool to see some rarely seen corners of Pittsburgh in this old warehouse.

It was a pretty cool concept that each of the three teams had to make the puppets and write a play for them in 24 hours with the materials given. We checked out the gallery, including the giant one staring down lb.

There are going to be a couple videos up next week post-Podcamp Pittsburgh, but in the meantime, here is the audio from the interview with Mr. Cuccaro on the WPAJ Interview Stream.

WTF Was I Thinking Video: Violence in Social Media

For once, I decided to throw something more recent up. Like from last night. I did this video for Podcamp Pittsburgh at the behest of some suggestions to showcase the "chop phenomenon" at Podcamp Pittsburgh. It's like a "WTF Were We Doing?" collective.

  • I think this video speaks for itself...

I Remember my first Podcamp...

I remember hearing about something called Podcamp from Justin when he stopped by work
I remember craving something to meet the tech heads in Pittsburgh
I remember deciding we were "worthy" enough to do a session
I remember being scared to do it
I remember the last minute chop idea
I remember these two guys in the front row with a beer cast
I remember sitting in on Alex Lindsey's class
I remember those skills and use them all the time two years later
I remember Chris Brogan coming over to the Mayhem Crew at the meet n' greet
I remember the "wrestling promo" he pulled off
I remember being frightened
I remember the weird vegan food

Wrestling Mayhem Show 138: Women of Mayhem

THE LADIES OF MAYHEM TAKE OVER!!! Mayhem Missie, Wife of the Show Missfit, V-Ron, and Jen of 37 Roses all invade the Mayhem Studios to do it their way. And that way involves duct tape and pain for Doc Remedy and Lunchbox!

This is Episode 138 for Tuesday, October 14, 2008. You can get the episode here on Talkshoe, subscribe, and as always, stay tuned to http://www.wrestlingmayhemshow.com/ for the latest! The Wrestling Mayhem Show is recorded live and can be heard/viewed from 8 PM to 10 PM Eastern on Talkshoe.com and BlogTV.com. Chachi Says: Interactive Blog 1

My good buddy Chachi of ChachiSays.com has a new concept of a MadLibs-esque interactive blog. So here goes!

Today was a Boxing day. I woke up late thanks to my alcoholism. I got to work and prepared myself for what was to come. Eventually calls started coming in. Although today I was not accused of molestation of any fonts. Kinda sad actually because I was looking forward to dealing with naked Librarians. I was however told that I am one of the last people that vomited in the support center. I did however manage to score some really nice music which made it an alright day. Today we had our biweekly Munchkin Lunch break. Twice a week a few guys from the office get together and crash this card game. It’s an easy game that really anyone can play.

Chachi Says: That not every day can be a munchkin day. Sometimes they just pass by.

Musicians and Juggalos at Podcamp Pittsburgh?!

This weekend, my fellow "New Media" crew of Lunchbox(emcee lb) of the Wrestling Mayhem Show, Chachi, and Missfit are embarking on Podcamp Pittsburgh 3.

But why should the Juggalos and Musicians in the area be interested? Well, first off, the Juggalo Community has always been one to embrace new technology, as I discussed in my previous Juggalos and New Media post. The Juggalos were the first to post website after website about ICP, Juggalettes (and their fabulous body parts), News, the concept behind ICP, and even lovers of Faygo.

Over the years, this has scattered and spread amongst Myspace, Facebook, and other social media sites, but many juggalos don't know what Twitter is, or a Podcast, and there are plenty of examples of Juggalos doing their thing and carving out their own niche. So much so, that ICP themselves have sought to mimic the success of it's fans.

These are tools that many of Juggalos can use to keep the community going as people have for almost ten years. When I describe the accomplishments of mini Gatherings and Juggalo Days that all of us share in bringing people together, it astonishes people who are amongst the who's who of social media.

So ever want to know why you might want to start a blog? (more than that myspace profile you're running), why Twitter should be considered, or why you should spill your thoughts on a Podcast, and reach even more people. This is the place to be.

Podcamp Pittsburgh is, above all, FREE, and chance to meet and greet with people who are doing this stuff, or just getting started like you. They cover writing, video, audio, anything you would want. You don't have to worry about food. It's there. And above all, the Meet n Greet and Parties are fantastic! Oh. And it's FREE! Here's the lowdown:

Sorgatron '08: Obama Ads

From Sorgatron '08..

The campaign is in full swing. We've been on the news, have billboards, have debates scheduled, and so on. But as I lay in bed with a tub of Americone Dream and my future first lady, and surfed through the channels on my Dish Network receiver (the American Dream, I know) and came across the OBAMA Channel.

What? BO-TV all day long? Really?

And of course, with my penchant to not be able to get up to pee until the next commercial, I sat there for a bit. After returning home from the hospital due to my bladder failure, I booted up my iPhone to find an Obama '08 app. Upon further investigation, I see Obama has had a Twitter account with over 95,000 followers. Oddly, the only McCain centric Twitter of any significance I could come across was one @FakeSarahPalin.

So Sorgatron had to think. How do we combat all of this. We don't have to worry about McCain. The man can't even turn on a computer, let alone spear head a multi-faceted digital campaign. Stoke Monkey is simply too concerned with banana car pies in the sky that will never happen with is feigned campaign promises, and flashy t-shirts to cloth his extended, illegitamate, family.

So we have to combat the Obama faithful head-on.

Today, Sorgatron '08 announces it's endeavors to put a Sorgatron channel on the Primestar satellite system, GPS devices, and Sorgatron account on ICQ. We also plan on a site on Second Life (thought we can't figure out how to get out of the red light district...)

friday5: I won't answer your questions how you want me to..

1. “My hands are tied” is an English-language cliche that means “I’d like to do something about this unfortunate situation, but I don’t have the ability or authority.” In what current situation do you feel your hands are tied?
Usually general financial situations and things my friends are doing that I might not approve of.

2. Railroad ties are the evenly-spaced slats that lie perpendicular to train tracks and whose function is to hold the tracks in place and to distribute the weight of the train. Who are the railroad ties in your life?
Well, that'd be my wife and a couple of close friends that help me get through the day, and vice versa. I think I have a nice small network of about three or four people that help "distribute the pain" so to speak.

3. What are your feelings about Thai food?
I once dated a girl that I was told was from Thai decent, via England....wait, what was the question again?

4. Whose thighs do you admire?
Thighs? Do people really take that in consideration? I'm more of a boob and face guy, myself. But I suppose I was always a fan of this picture...

5. A red tide is a proliferation (in ideal circumstances) of oceanic algae that often seem to discolor seawater and threaten other sealife. If the ocean is your life and the algae the harmful attitudes, thoughts, or moods that crowd out the good stuff, under what conditions in your life is red tide most likely to become a problem?
I guess the things that would be the "perfect storm of suck" would be a combination of things that would consitute just an overall feeling of worthlessness, be it a combination of some job issues, feeling I let people down, and being broke. Or something like that...

WTF Was I Thinking Video: Coming for you Brogan!!!

Podcamp Pittsburgh is, in about 3o minutes, 1 Week Away!!!! Are you going?

  • This was during a WWE PPV at my place. I think the show was just getting started. SummerSlam maybe?
  • Chris Brogan had put out one of his "Call Chris" deals on Twitter. So Will called. We got his voicemail.
  • I don't know why we were so hostile. Maybe it's because he's never attended one of our sessions. Maybe it's because he threw down a sweet wrestling promo that kind of scared me.
  • I think we gave him a ride from the hotel for this Podcamp, if it proves we're on good terms...

Sorgatron 08 - We don't slow dance with murderers

A week ago on the Wrestling Mayhem Show 136, It was a monumental occasion as, at about 2 hours in, it was announced that Miss Papuga was the VP nominee for the Stoke Monkey Presidential campaign.

Let me tell you about a Papuga.

It was learned this week on the brand new Level 5 show, at about 1 hour and 24 minutes in, that Miss VP Papuga went to school with one "Sylar" from Heroes. According to this show, it is revealed that the two went to the Middle School Dance together and competed in forensics competitions in High School. Her highest accomplishment, of course, was beating him in one of these to go to nationals. What does this mean? Dawn Papuga is more dangerous than Sylar!!

And we all know that Stoke Monkey is an old man, in monkey years, and the posibility of him having a heart attack in office is not outside of the realm of possibility. That means President Papuga as a backup.

You saw what Sylar would do as president. What would a more dangerous Papuga do? I shudder to think...

I remember the president

I remember when my school had a mock election
I remember not even trying for class president
I remember learning it's a popularity race
I remember Regan for the majority of my childhood
I remember Michael Dukakis
I remember the first Bush and "No new taxes"
I remember Dana Carvey doing a better Bush than Bush
I remember Clinton playing the sax
I remember Bob Dole in the third person
I remember hating Lieberman as VP because of his history against video games and "protecting kids"
I remember a bad feeling in 2000

Wrestling Mayhem Show 137: Head Wounds

The crew is getting cabin fever, or something. We talk No Mercy, TNA, and the upcoming local Pittsburgh shows in PWX and IWC. Lunchbox wants to fight Stevie Richards for some reason, Macho Man faces Nazi allegations, Sorg steps out, and Doc Remedy starts to bleed. Ouch.

This is Episode 137 for Tuesday, October 7, 2008. You can get the episode here on Talkshoe, subscribe, and as always, stay tuned to http://www.wrestlingmayhemshow.com/ for the latest! Con on the Cob Day 3

It's a day removed from COTC, and there's plenty to check out. Interestingly, Chachi called the night before from his hotel, down the turnpike. He decided to book Jeff and him something cheaper instead since they were only there for a night. They ended up in what was described as being from a horror movie.

We were greated by Dr. Espling making an appearance with family in tow. One of the most exciting of his gifts, a Wrestling Mayhem Show banner! Be sure that we are goingn to take that whereever we go from now on!

So we got up and decided to check out early from our own, non cockroach hotel room, and got geared up for our Introduction to Podcasting seminar at a very early 11 AM. It became interesting with Chachi and Jeff joining in the audience. They left the Rock Band setup, and we somehow obtained a baby shoe...and most got thrown at Chachi by Will. We did our best to be informative, in our own way, and you can check out that seminar for yourself...

Then, we were gearing up for some Nerdz Eatin Shroomz AKA Really Pale Gangsters (RPG) aka Superfriends? Chachi and Will (8-bit and emcee lb) had a better set, and really did well to cover up their inexperience with eachother in this makeshift group. Althogh, I'm certain they are ready to kill eachother mid set. And that would have been a hell of a vid. But they seemed to get a good response once again, regardless. This time, their set got on the Awful Show Music Page like the CRAP set did the night before...

So there were several hours before the CRAP set, and we had plenty of time, so we went o grab some grub and left Will and Chachi at the booth. Upon our return, there was a sign for "Free Conversations" and they told us we were relieved of booth duties for the day. Fine by me. So we broke out the recorder, and recorded some CRAPCast. Somewhere along the lines, Chachi ended up doing the "Truffle Shuffle". I'm sure the Youtube link will follow in the coming days...

We went back to the Music Room and posted up to try to see some more music. There was an interesting mix of "comedy musicians" from TheFump.com. Mostly parody kind of stuff. I was lucky enough to get involved with a short set of the Awful Show's Screw Your Neighbor Live, as well.

But we did get a chance to meet the guys from Positive Attitude. We got to see their set at 7, at least as much as I could before taking off for tear down, and it was pretty damn good. They were more to the hip hop side of things, and performed with a video screen that added a lot to the act. Definitly check these guys out.

We sat through an abbreviated session of MST3K style Star Wars Holiday Special. Thank goodness, because that thing was unbearable. And that mix of the redneck and...whatever accent fellas doing the commentary was great!

Dual Core canceled their last performance at 9, which disappointed me, since that was one group I knew was up my alley, but I got a chance to check out their video, (and Sudden Death's) at that Awful Show Music page from before. Worm Quartet, which is really one guy, was next up, after some guy did some more parody songs to fill in for the cancel. He was more along the Weird Al line of things, from what I saw. We were up next and did the CRAP thing. There were some technical difficulties because something was missing after the last act took off, delaying our set. But we rocked it. There will be some footage of that later on.

But we took off shortly after, since we had a long drive, and I was craving some good Sheetz. So the Con on the Cob came and went. I'm not sure what to think of it all. It wasn't what I expected, in any manner, but wasn't all bad. Maybe I'll do more analysis on the weekend later on. But it was great to meet up with some new people. Positive Attitude was cool, the zombies from Zombie Buddy next to us were awesome all weekend, and it was good to meet Tha Mike and Keyz, although briefly, of the Awful Show that passes so much time for me each week. Who knows, maybe you'll see me out there next year for a day.

Con on the Cob Days 1 and 2.

What's up guys. Just wanted to put in an update from the Con this weekend. You guys can check out the latest on my Brightkite feed (pictures) and Twitter feed (text).

We got hear pretty easily Thursday and setup our booth. There were only a few hours open to the public, so Missfit, Will, Silent Ninja and myself got a lot of time to scope out the area. Then Will and I did the "Evolution of a Podcast" Seminar, to interesting results. If this is any preview of how our Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 seminar is going to go...

After wrapping up the seminar and exhibit hall for the night, we grabbed a bite and, interestingly, watched the VP presidential debate replay. That just served to anger, really.

The Silent Ninja may be getting the most out of this Con. It's his first of any kind, and the Con on the Cob is especially a gaming Con. So he has been attending a few seminars on character and world design that should help him out in his studies in gaming at the Art Institute. He also bought a sword. Yes. As if he wasn't dangerous enough, he now has a weapon.

We have made some new friends in our booth mates, as the zombies next door are from Robinson Twp. not too far from us. They have a casket full of t-shirts and an interesting zombie based LARP (Live Action Role Play). It's been a good time with them. Check out their stuff at Zombie Buddy Productions.

Chachi and Jeff got here early afternoon and prepped for our sets. Due to some cancellations, Chachi and Will got on stage with a quickly reconfigured set. It was a bit awkward, but the crowd gave them a lot of love, and Chachi fucking killed it on his new "Clubbin'" track.

Eventually, CRAP got on stage about 6 PM. I got to say high to Keyz from the Awful Show, a show I've listened to for well over a year now. I deinitly want to catch Screw Your Neighbor tomorrow, since I missed it today. But we got up there and did the CRAP thing. The show was weird because it's a stage at the bottom of a tiered mini auditorium. The crowd is sitting. But we delivered the usual high energy regardless. We have some video that will be posted eventually (and playing at our booth tomorrow), but here's another angle of the show thanks to Keyz right here at the Awful Show Con Video site.

So two days down, some interesting people met, and so much more to go...

WTF Was I Thinking Video: The Truth about the Silent Ninja

This week, as we sit here at the Con on the Cob, and the Silent Ninja appears and dissapears at will as he wanders off to some gaming sessions, I thought it was appropriate to revisit the origin of the Silent Ninja....

  • This was filmed during Bootcamp Pittsburgh in April 2007
  • This was the result of waiting for a parking meter to roll over. And a legacy was born
  • Now the Silent Ninja imposes on guests of the Wrestling Mayhem Show...
