Eff the Sky.
All weekend, it spit on me.
Then it threw lightning at me.
The Sky is a bastard.
Sauce Storm 4

It was good to hang out with some people out there. I got to chill with some old friends, including Snackz, whom I hadn't seen in over a year. I met his new girlfriend, and saw that there was a little Juggalo on the way. Snackz showed me the wonders of 151 Vodka, and I had a nice 6 pack of Labatts to work through the night. I love Ohio beer sales.

The DCW wrestling was pretty good. The ring they got last year came in handy again, and a few of the guys are coming along pretty nicely in the ring. More of the matches were far more entertaining and came off really well. Then the rain and lightning hit. I took cover with Missy and a friend at a local McDonald's and got back just in time to see OHM, a group with a female lead singer that did some interesting covers and some trippy tunes that I think required some LSD to enjoy properly. Then, of course Unity for Life was up next. If nothing else, those guys have a big ass crew. Then, No Clue went on and spanned their entire 3 album + history. The linup changes have not kept these guys down. I am

After the sets, which finally ended about 2 AM, it was time to drink more and bounce around the camp sites. I love this, because it's the feeling you get of the Gathering of the Juggalos, just on a smaller scale, with less assholes. I ran into Shook and bullshitted with him for a while. I only believe half

After a night sleeping in the SUV, we were treated to a hilarious hot wing contest, that came down to the security guy and some blonde girl and their "Stupid Fucking Hot" wings. Then, as the DCW match of the day started, the rain came down. Hard.
I have to give so much credit to the No Clue guys. They are always ones to out do themselves year to year. This thing just grows and grows. Keep an eye on these guys.

Wrasslin' Time
As of late, I've had a great opportunity to work with some great people to help create our dream's reality. Lately, I've been running with a group of 30+ guys and girls that have been working, together, to get started. And thanks to that, we had a great opportunity to work with a trainer as of late. Does it hurt. Yes. Is it worth it. Hell yes.
From what I'm aware of, this isn't the typical way to break into the business. You pay to go to a more formal school, get run into the ground, etc. But this is one of those situations with enough like minded people, with heart of varying degrees, honestly, have come together to give it a shot. We had a chance to work with a couple professional wrestling trainers and run through some stuff, and already feel better about my abilities in there.
Of course, there's no money, and a lot of pain involved with getting into something like this, but there's just something inexplicable about it that keeps us going. And we have some great things on the horizan, I think.
The surprise of the day, for me, was one Silent Ninja. Missy happened to check with him that morning and he ended up coming. I know he expressed some interest, but never knew he'd go for it. First time in a ring. Didn't even jump into the one at Sorgstock. He was already doing an admirable job running the ropes. Not too bad on taking the bumps (falls) either. But then it hit. He took one clothesline bad, putting his hands in the wrong place, and his wrist got wrenched. I felt so bad. But he got bandaged up, watched the rest of the day's training up close, for the most part, and told me it wouldn't keep him from coming back.
You know, Hulk Hogan had his leg broken his first practice....
Check back with me in a year on this one.

WTF Was I Thinking Video: WWE vs TNA Bloopers
While many of these videos get plenty of hits on YouTube, and cultivate a lot of discussion of which brand is better, one video in particular has exploded with over 120,000 hits, the most of any of my other videos on the account. But it's the blooper reel. The majority of the comments complain about their waste of time watching the thing (but it's Youtube. Go read a book)
- I was very tired when trying to squeeze this video out. And besides, it's a blooper reel. So I didn't pay much mind to things like typing "cunting room floor". Whoops.
- "That's our deep frier" Don't film next to the kitchen. When someone wants to cook.

My Furball.

Well, I cannot bear to go through the explanation Missy did in her own account of our cat, Mickey. Please feel free to head over there to read it.
This hit me hard. Mickey was the first pet we had as a couple, as an "on our own" couple in our first apartment. I had been very stand offish about getting a new pet. I had a dog and some cats when I was younger and didn't feel ready for it. But school was done for me. We were settling in. Why not. Mickey was brought home after one of Missy's trips home to New York. The kid had an attitude, that's for sure. I forgot about him pissing in my "memento box" all those years ago. But I will always remember him running with a jingle ball up and down the hall way in our first apartment, on the hardwood floors. Back and forth all night. He would climb up on us in bed until one of use would cradle him like a baby and go to sleep in our arms with us.
Mickey ruled the household. I tend to believe he kept the younger cat, Daisy, and our latest addition, our dog Bijou, in line around the house. He'd hop up on the couch, the dog would hop down.
That was a hard 24 hours for me Thursday and Friday. Maybe I was just more prone to it because all of the loss recently. Maybe I didn't realize how much this cat was a part of my life. He'd always come over when I was working on the laptop, as if to say to take a break. Or if we were having a bad day, he was there.
And now he's not.

Sorgstock 2008: Spring Edition Recap
Sorgstock was coming together like most; last minute changes, no shows, traffic delays making things crazy at the last minute. This year we had a ring, thanks to Matt "Lucien X" and Paul. The RWA and Weekly Features crews showed up in caravan form with Landshark riding a car and Doc Remedy hanging out the window coming down the road in an amazing fashion. Everyone pitched in and we got the ring together while I was still running around securing everything else, and Paul ran a small clinic for the guys, which was great. I know it opened at lot of our eyes in regards to what we thought we knew compared to what we don't with someone actually trained in there showing us. I look forward to upcoming training with Paul and some other oppurtunities in the future.
The wrestling kicked off with a dark match between RWA's Jimmy Mack and Johnny

Next, the upcoming Death Defying Wrestling promotion was represented with Bobby Danger pinning Lucien X in a "Prove Yourself Match". In the process, Lucien has his chest turned into hamburger meat.
The Sparrow, an old LWF staple from way back in 2001's Sorgstock Edition, returned to take on Ro-Sham-Bo. After frustrating the Mexican with several blocks to his patented nut shots, Sparrow disctacted his foe with a Green Card to get the win. He then exclaimed to find out who Ro-Sham-Bo was, citing the allegations of Dicktoad Sweetass, only to reveal yet another mask underneath, as the mexican went running backstage.
We had a small intermission, followed by Landshark coming out to tell the story of how he got his name. This was quickly interrupted by the Weekly Features, cocky enough to not even bother bringing their championship belts, celebrating their own tag team dominance by talking about themselves for a while. They were interrupted by the duo of Mexican Jew Lizard and Sweaty Snatch coming out for some foreign reason, then Bobby Danger and Lucien X wanting to challenge, and finally a peculiar team of Jimmy Mack and Landshark. After much back and forth and fights breaking out, we find ourselves with an 8 man tag with the winning pinner's team getting the tag championship. In a match filled with all out brawls, miscommunications, and straight up language barriers, the Weekly Features get the pin, causing Bobby Danger to lay out the challenge of a Ladder Match for the belts at the next Sorgstock.
After the match, Sweaty Snatch reentered the ring to confront the referee, Ausin, in the middle of the ring. Again, citing a bit of a language barrier, he didn't know was a multi-tournement winner in amateur wrestling, which he found out when he was flipped on his ass by the young referee.
Next was a meeting with returning LWF Champion, after 7 eyars, Chachi, as he took on Hardcore Champion The Scion in a belt vs belt hardcore match. The Scion quickly overcame the rusty champion, even overcoming an ambush during his ring entrance. After becoming a double champion, Scion declared the LWF belt a piece of crap, joining it with the Hardcore belt, and throwing the old strap in the garbage.
One half of the big double championship main event went down as a last man standing match between Elder Statesman, and LWF Champion, Chad the Shad. Statesman had Chad on the run in their first encounter, to be put down by a last effort super kick by the realing champion. Chad was also said to be 0-2 in last man standing encounters, giving Stateslman the edge. In a match that involved steel chairs, choke slams on plate warmers, and an uncerimonious attack by Assault of the MCK, Chad the Shad pulled out all the stops to put the States man down for the ten count for good.
Last up was final in a long rivalry between Hardcore Champion The Scion and Doc Remedy. Both were broken in with previous matches in the night and pulled out all the stops in this brutal encounter. Remedy had a long road to finally take down the Champ, being beaten at least two times before in quest for the title, and this time, pulled it off. The two settled this war with a handshake after the match.
With the wrestling over, there was an intermission to setup for the music, but before we had everything together, Landshark took stage one more time. We were taking donations to help e

The Deadbeats were up first, a group I invited after seeing at a recent show at The School in Pittsburgh, and did a good job, even doing a quick collab track with Paul Hammond. Playa 2 was up next to throw down a new track. Then Paul Hammond did his solo thing. I'm a big fan of "Chosen1".
Next, I took the stage with Chachi. We did a medly of songs from the CRAP and Nerdz Eatin Shroomz collections and pulled off a pretty decent set that ended with about ten people on stage (the wrestling ring with the ropes taken off) bouncing up and down during Monkey Flings Poo, our usual mayhem-inducing ender. We did some tracks we hadn't done in almost a year, I tried singing Jeff's parts at least once, but it was a lot of fun to do something different with the 8-bit Gangsta, Chachi.
Poetically Gifted Honkeys were up next and were really good. they were the first group I had invited without seeing in person before, and they delivered. I look forward to playing with these guys in the future around town.
And finally, MCK was up to close the night with their set. Repping the Sublime, and giving up "Don't Wanna Be" to the absent Big Daddy Shit.
It was a great, successful day, with a lot of people coming together. Sorgstock Summer Edition is slotted for August 16, and we have at least one match to look forward to. Check back as I will be posting videos and matches for weeks to come, I'm sure, so everyone can see how it came down.

Another Sorgstock Success!!!
A big thanks to Matt and Paul for helping with the ring hookup, MCK and Ryan for bringing up the sound and embracing the camp out by creating their tent city, all of the wrestlers for working so hard, all of the artists who showed up and rocked it on something of a diferent venue.
You can see some pictures already up on my Brightkite stream (from my cell phone), and Jen's Flickr account.
See you guys for the Summer Edition August 16!!!!

4 More Years?

That's the least of my goals. Today marks the 4 year anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Sorg in togetherness. I still keep the site alive with pics from the glorious day!
So I thought it would be fitting to sit down and figure out how the hell we haven't killed eachother yet.
Honestly, I blame Missy.
This woman has been so supportive. And I know I have a lot of stuff going on, and crazy ideas. But, especially recently, she's seen fit to get involved with all of it. She's volunteered to help with Podcamp Pittsburgh, helping to start a legit wrestling fed, and helps me at all of our CRAP shows so I don't drive myself crazy. And she admittedly does all of it because it's what I'm into. And now she's involved.
And we're complete opposites. She loves wrestling, but not as much as me. She likes all kinds of music, but not as passionate as me. She is the one who grounds me from floating away. When she's being too serious, I help her to lighten up. When I'm getting too carried away with my stuff and not considering the stuff I should be. She's the ying to my yang.
So on this 4 year anniversary, I don't have much to offer my Mrs Sorg except that Root Beer Float, and a prayer for many more years!
So here's to you!
Wife of the Mayhem (that is my life)
Mrs. SSSSOOOOORRRRRGGGGGGG!!!!! (to quote V-Ron)
WPAJ Interview: 40 Drop Records
This may have logged in as the second longest interview we've done for WesternPAJuggalos.com (seconded only by Jury the Clown, if I recall correctly).
But I had a chance to sit down and have a conference call with JPK, Pantz, and Kegs of 40 Drop Records. I came across these guys by talking with Fabulous John McChesney (friend of the Wrestling Mayhem Show) at the last IWC show, and he was sporting the gear for these guys, and talked them up pretty good. less than three weeks later, they're right on here on the WPAJ Interview. So sit back, grab a brew, and check out their interview while you scope out their stuff at www.myspace.com/40droprecords.
Next week, we are scheduled to have Dem Korrupt Boyz, as well as potentially the return of DaButtonPusha!
